BU's Campus Planning & Operations group is seeking a creative individual to join the Informatics and Strategic Initiatives team to support the implementation of proactive communications for University's Facilities Operations, Planning Design & Construction, Real Estate, and Police departments. The reporting and communications specialist will support the associate director for communications in the creation of reports used to brief administration, writing and editing articles, developing social media content, distributing campus-wide newsletters, and maintaining websites. This position will also be responsible for keeping track of web and social media analytics and providing regular reports on KPIs.
Bachelors Degree in related field Communications, Media Relations, Marketing or equivalent experience. Experience in higher education a plus. Creative graphical, multimedia, and social media communications skills. Photography experience a plus. Must be fluent in social media platforms and tools including social media scheduling platforms such as Sprinklr or Hootsuite. Familiarity with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), MailChimp, and Excel required. A self-starter and collaborator who demonstrates strong communications, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
