Regional Safety Manager is based in Beachwood, OH and supports the Construction Chemicals regional business unit and EBN sites in the Americas. The role supports 37 production, R&D, and business sites, and remote sales and technical service communities, with approximately 1,200 full-time and contract employees.
Formula for Success
Drive sustainable Occupational Safety and Process Safety measures and initiatives throughout the organization leading to risk exposure reduction and overall improvement in EHS Leading and Lagging KPIs
Closely collaborate and partner with the RBU's and sites' teams on establishing EHS priorities, programs, initiatives, and targets
Lead and coordinate defined EHS initiatives and programs needed throughout the organization and at each site, partnering with EBN resources to drive implementation
Develop and implement strategies to support site and business objectives and to capitalize on opportunities to add value and improve performance
Collaborate and partner with the NCU EHS Hub organization, and in conjunction with them and each site manager, establish the Corporate EHS services necessary to achieve the aligned goals of the business and the EHS organization
Foster effective relationships with RBU Leadership, EB global Responsible Care management, Site Management, Operations Leadership, Technical Engineering Services, EBN functional organizations, and Corporate EHS personnel
Serve as the single voice and point of contact for all EHS topics for employees within EBN, EB and NCU
Serve as a Process Safety subject matter expert for EBN
Set the direction, lead the implementation of and ensure compliance with all regulatory and BASF EHS requirements in a single, uniform, consistent manner across all locations. This includes ensuring regional and global best practices are implemented across the sites, personnel are trained and knowledgeable on all aspects of EHS requirements, and that EHS activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
