Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you who will perform project management for capital projects at the BASF Freeport, TX facility, 60 miles south of Houston, TX. You will manage all aspects of a project, from approval through design and construction. The project manager is the focal point of responsibility, authority, and accountability of these capital investments. The successful candidate for this position must be a results-oriented leader who can build strong working relationships and function effectively at all levels of the organization

Formula for Success
With your educational background in engineering and experience in project management in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for the execution of capital projects in existing facilities. You will have a proven track record of successful project implementation.
You will achieve project objectives which include functionality, cost, and schedule for investments up to approximately $15 million. You are someone who can maintain laser focus on safety during the development of project concepts and during execution. You will provide leadership to the project team which includes representatives from engineering, production, procurement, and construction.
You can develop execution and contracting strategies to effectively meet the needs of the project.
You will be able to think strategically and act decisively during the project process.
Your management skills will mitigate risk, solve problems before they occur, and bring value.
You can or have already mastered SAP for project management and reporting functions. This is the software program we use. Prior experience is preferred.
With your s trong leadership and team working skills , you will bring out the best in everyone to accomplish your goal of a successful project.
This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
