Title: Sales RepresentativeDepartment: Sales and Marketing Reports To: Vice President Sales & Business DevelopmentLocation: Ohio Valley & Mid-West United States (Cleveland area preferred)Classification: Exempt Date Opened: 05-22-2017Position SummaryThe position is responsible for the promotion, timely follow-up, direct selling and servicing of Caldwell’s engineered solutions to the Residential OEM window and door manufactures within The Ohio Valley and Central Mid-Western Region of the United States. Responsibilities include selling and managing customer relationships in the established sales territory. Within the parameters of the Companies mission statement, consistent with policy, marketing, and profitability goals, develop and achieve sales objectives driving market leadership, increased product depth and breadth resulting in demonstrated market share gain. The individual must work effectively with marketing, engineering, customer service and operations departments within the business to assure continuity and maintain focus on exceeding customer needs. The individual will be the primary interface between the Company and the Customer assuring “First is Service – Best in Class” solutions are provided. Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities•Professionally represent Caldwell within Industry Professional Organizations and events IE AAMA and AIA. •Maintains outstanding professional demeanor, selling style and appearance.•Must work the days and necessary hours to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available to effectively communicate with supervisors, customers and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish the work and Caldwell goals.•Achieve Key Performance Measurements and Sales objectives.•Develop a thorough understanding of Caldwell’s product offerings and strategy in the selling process.•Learn and know all aspects of the business and constantly acquire additional knowledge important to maintain a leadership position in the markets served. •Proven track record in growing and developing sales on a continuous basis. •Effectively utilize, manage and maintain the elements of the “CRM” program•Through observation, personal contact, and general awareness, continuously appraise and select potential accounts to develop which provide the maximum return for time invested. (Frequent overnight travel required)•Conduct Territory audits to determine market share and build target and development accounts. •Continual evaluation of accounts in relation to potential.•Ability in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management. •Identify needs of personnel and specific accounts which are instrumental in developing the short, medium and long-term goals of the territory and Company.•Utilizing cooperative, businesslike, professional behavior, earn long-term partnerships.•Effectively manage customer relationships to maintain the appropriate balance between the “good of the Company” versus “the good of the Customer”.•Provides same-day response to customer inquiries.•Conduct product demonstrations and presentations.•Provide “hands-on” training relative to product installations and applications. •Promote Caldwell’s products and systems to the specifying community (Architects, Engineers ETC) via educational seminars. •Utilize Time Management processes and organizational skills to maximize selling time.
