Our client, one of North America's largest transportation organizations has multiple Sr. Procurement Manager and Procurement Manager opportunities. To manage, coordinate and execute the procurement process for materials, goods, and services in both the purchasing and contracts areas.
Senior Procurement Manager will lead an inter-departmental procurement team in developing solicitations, negotiations and overseeing award process; manages, coordinates, and directs complex procurement and acquisitions for major investments to support the operating and administrative areas of organization, which are often worth in excess of $25M. He/she will manage and negotiate projects such as transit-wide and multi-agency program and other complex acquisitions which include RFPs for complex system implementation and integration projects, construction, mentoring programs, and new technology acquisitions. This position trains as well as oversee staff in various processes.
Procurement Manager will coordinate and execute the procurement process for materials, goods, and services in both the purchasing and contracts areas. Responsible for executing contracts with financial responsibility to commit the authority for up to $10,000 per contractual agreement; will conduct extensive outreach efforts with minority and women owned businesses; provide training and guidance to companies on seeking in its bidding and contracting process.
Qualification: Both position require a Bachelor degree; with 7 years of experience for the Sr. Manager and 5 years of experience for the Manager position including experience in Managerial or Supervisory capacity. Other requirements include knowledge of contracting and procurement of goods and services; types contracts, Public Authorities Law, Federal/State and Local procurement regulations.
