We are currently looking for a full time Architect with the experience to manage projects.
Oversees and plans architectural aspects of construction projects. Responsible for final specifications, approval of ordered materials, and overall guidance on objectives and concepts. May also supervise and evaluate work of subordinate architects and technicians. Will also coordinate with engineers and other specialty consultants.
Requires a Master's degree in architecture or a 5.0 year undergraduate professional architecture degree. It will require an architect's license in the State of Texas, and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager.
Most be proficient in
Revit, Autocad or similar and Microsoft Office.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is dependent on experience level. It also includes a benefits package. Paid Holidays, Health Insurance, IRA, Vacation, License Fees, AIA Fees, and an incentive plan.
Patterson Architects was founded in 1991, however Fred A. Patterson, Jr. AIA has been in the Brazos Valley Area practicing architectural services since 1983. Fred is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design, Class of 79’ and a Masters degree in Architecture, Class of 81’. Fred began his Architectural Business as Design Intent in 1983. In 1998 Patter...son Architects located to 701 South Texas Avenue in Bryan, Texas. The former Searcy Clinic was built in 1951 and was constructed from the salvaged lumber left from a funeral home, (which was one of the original “College Avenue houses” built in 1903) which had burnt on this site. Torched they say by the owner who was later convicted of arson. The low-lying, Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired suburban professional building is faced with fossiladed Texas limestone that was salvaged from the Memorial Students Center at Texas A&M University when they did a renovation in the 1949. Currently Patterson Architects employees two Architects, an Interior Designer, two architectural intern, a draftsman and two administrative staff.
Patterson Architects has a long history in the Brazos Valley. Patterson Architects has completed over 100 renovations, additions or new facilities for Texas A&M University. The firm has also completed additions, renovations and new facilities for almost all of the elementary schools campuses in Bryan.
