Reporting to the Chancellor of Palmetto College, the Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer for USC Salkehatchie which includes campuses in Allendale and Walterboro South Carolina. The Dean will lead the strategic, programmatic, financial, fundraising, and management operations that support the mission and vision of the campuses.
The Dean will be responsible for building effective relationships with area businesses and community organizations; assesses course offerings to ensure student needs are met, and closely monitors enrollment and the financial health of the campuses. The Dean oversees planning, organizing, and directing community outreach and marketing to fulfill the educational mission for USC Salkehatchie
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Earned doctorate from an accredited university.
Substantial record of progressively responsible leadership that includes high-level administrative or managerial experience, advanced knowledge of and experience in higher education processes and policies and procedures.
Achievement in the criteria required for a faculty appointment with tenure and rank.
Proven fundraising expertise to help increase the endowment for supporting programs, scholarships, students, and distinguished chairs
Experience with accreditation agencies/bodies.
Evidence of success with student enrollment growth and management.
Demonstrated record of sound financial management.
Proven ability to develop and foster good relationships with both internal campus stakeholders as well as external audiences such as local, state, and national agencies, officials, and donors.
Promote a collegial and constructive environment based on open communication, positive team building, and effective management of relationships
