This position involves managing all aspects of the construction project billing and payment process as well as assisting with other departmental duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(1) Processing of construction related Purchase Orders, change orders and billings. Ensuring the billings have the proper waivers, and paperwork. (2) Reconciling billing disputes with the supplier, contractor or Accounts payable. (3) Processing interdepartmental charges for construction and operations. (4) Managing the administrative charges to projects. (5) Filing notice of commencements. (6) Monitoring and reporting possible construction budget issues. (7) Updating project budgets daily to keep balance current. (8) Reconciling departmental construction budget with banner. (9) Resolving discrepancies with budgets. (10) Assisting with policies and procedures. (11) Assisting with construction website. (12) Assisting with other departmental needs. (13) Providing coverage as team requires. (14) Perform other duties as assigned.
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
Six months to two years experience in similar position preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• A professional, patient demeanor that promotes a positive impression with co-workers and the University community. • Must have strong organizational and administrative skills, a good work ethic, and a positive attitude for interacting with other people. • Strong communication skills, verbal and written. • Computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel is required with a strong computer aptitude for learning various computer applications; Banner experience preferred. • Must be adaptable with ability to accept and support change, highly skilled at multi-tasking and detailed orientated, able to effectively work independently or in a team environment, and able to work well under pressure. • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and a clean well groomed appearance that creates a positive impression with customers and coworkers. • Must be dependable, reliable, and confident working in a professional environment. • Available to start work at 7:30am.
Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
