Under the supervision and direction of the Senior Program Manager, the Program Manager will provide supervision, guidance, and leadership to the project managers within his/her group in the execution of their daily duties. The incumbent will manage their own program workload as well as the workload of others including establishing new and planned project time frames, securing necessary authorizations, ensuring that established plans are delivered on time and within budget, ensuring project updates are timely and complete, and assisting the Senior Program Manager with the general management and administration of the unit’s workload.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressively more responsible experience in project and program management Ideal candidates will present the following profile:
Demonstrated ability to manage challenging and complex projects in the Port Authority environment
Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise others to effectuate program workload
Thorough knowledge of the PA Project Authorization and Contract Authorization processes
Demonstrated customer service, decision-making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage many projects simultaneously and effectively utilize limited available resources
Excellent oral, communication, and presentation skills
Knowledge and experience with facility planning, design and construction
Knowledge and experience with deployment of security solutions, including electronic systems
Professional Registration as an Engineer or Architect
