Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
University Human Resources (UHR) at Iowa State University is seeking to fill the position of Manager of University Human Resources, Talent Acquisition.
This position will be responsible for developing and managing programs related to talent acquisition at Iowa State University, including:
Providing significant contributions and expertise in the areas of talent acquisition consulting, sourcing strategies, recruitment and selection process, social media tools, process improvement, and employment law.
Contributing to and implementing a strategy for talent acquisition through ISU's new service delivery model in support of the University's mission and strategy.
Contributing to key projects such as, reviewing current programs, recommending program changes, and implementing changes.
Overseeing ISU's new Workday applicant tracking system to ensure effective use of technology.
Developing relationships with institutional leaders and managers.
Leading a team of talent acquisition professionals.
Training distributed HR teams and Recruiting Specialists on talent acquisition strategy, policies, and procedures.
Developing strategies to align with diverse labor markets and working to meet Affirmative Action goals.
Developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies.
Developing and analyzing statistical reports and metrics.
Maintaining contracts and performance of vendors.
The responsibilities of this position require close collaboration and teamwork with faculty, staff, departments and programs such as Equal Opportunity, the Provost’s Office, Office of University Counsel, other Human Resource areas, and Board of Regents staff. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Demonstrated experience in the management of HR teams focused on the delivery of customer service.
Experience working and collaborating with senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong communication skills, with an ability to function and succeed in a dynamic environment.
Experience in the development of talent pipelines and sourcing candidates
Experience working within a higher education environment
Process improvement experience
Experience with recruiting metrics
Policy development experience
Experience supervising professional staff
