Distribution Engineer
Coastal Electric Cooperative
Responsible for the planning, design, and construction of the electric distribution system, including system improvements and modifications. Provides technical assistance to field personnel and administers technology innovations such as SCADA, AMI, OMS, and GIS systems.
Duties:

A Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Engineering with 5 years’ experience or an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Engineering with 10 years’ experience. Must be proficient with overhead and underground distribution design, National Electric Safety Code, and National Electric Code. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, programming, safety materials, and other work related material. Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds with assistance. Must have abilities to acquire/maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and applications customarily used in an office and engineering environment. Ability to work non-standard work hours or weekends as needed. A successful applicant must live or re-locate within 30 minutes of the Midway office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. A successful candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment screening process to include drug screening and background investigation.
