CDM Smith has identified transportation/transit design as a strategic growth market in Nashville, TN. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a wide range of engineering projects in both transportation and transit.
-Will perform as a senior urban mobility professional supporting our Transit, municipal, and state DOT clients. -Will ensure quality client delivery for projects in various stages ranging from conceptual, design, and construction. -Providing technical services for the design of transportation and transit projects. -Acting independently on technical matters. -Acting as a mentor for junior level employees.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in transportation or civil engineering. Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of experience. Some domestic travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications :
-Masters degree preferred. -Progressive experience in traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems, systems engineering, computer engineering or a similar field since B.S. -Critical thinker with an understanding of transportation and/or systems concepts required. -Open to change and new information with the ability to adapt behavior and work methods in response to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles required. -Excellent technical writing with the ability to develop work plans and document technical discussions required. -Project/task management experience. -Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD. -Experience interacting with and giving presentations to high-level public officials, and participation in recognized traffic engineering or public works committees or associations is highly desirable.
