The Computer Consultant II constructs and maintains the Macintosh platform management framework specified by the Assistant Dean. This includes system imaging, integration with central directory services, mail services and shared file repositories, remote administration and remote assistance tools, etc. The Computer Consultant II is also responsible for scheduling and managing all operating system and application upgrades for all Mac OS X-based computers in the college, executing on project plans as specified by the Assistant Dean. The Computer Consultant II also performs second-level support help desk duties, first-level help desk as needed, and, in addition to a thorough understanding of the Macintosh platform, should have sufficient understanding of the Windows platform to perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics. The Computer Consultant II reports to the Assistant Dean for IT Services.
