Our client is searching for a Construction Manager to assist with the development of their retail and multi-family properties in the Southeastern U.S. This position reports to the Vice President of Construction.
The successful candidate will have the organizational and time management skills necessary to manage multiple projects in various stages of construction. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will possess a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Facilitate the flow of information between client, architect, engineer, and contractor.
Analyze bid documents.
Track preconstruction activities.
Review and organize construction drawings, Geotech reports, and construction documents.
Review contract documents, RFIs, and submittals.
Coordinate with local utility providers and building officials.
Monitor and assist with the permitting process.
Monitor and assist with the construction process and the tracking of critical milestones.
Attend owner, architect, contractor meetings.
Prepare closeout documents.
Coordinate modifications in leased spaces
Coordinate engineer, architect, landscape architect, and others on the design team
Manage job cost reports
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Construction Management
1 – 3 years construction-related experience preferred
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred), MS Project, and Adobe
Occasional overnight travel in the Southeastern U.S. will be required.
