1-Northeastern US, family owned supermarket chain with 2 stores opening in next 12 months - both new construction - position has both construction and maintenance responsibilities.
The Project Manager – Construction skillfully executes store construction projects (new stores/expansions/within the walls remodels) within or below budget and on or before the project deadline according to the approved scope of work. They are a company representative on store constructions projects, advocating Rouses best interests. An excellent communicator, this individual provides timely and accurate information to contractors, vendors and executive management. They are strategic, motivated, self-confident, humble, collaborative, require limited direction to achieve their objectives and passionate about the business – outwardly demonstrating the company's values. The position reports to the Director of Construction.
Must have 5+ years in project management in a retail environment - supermarket, big box or specialty -
Must have experience in new construction and remodels
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience purchasing equipment and construction management tools Able to read and understand construction documents Able to lead retail management and contractors through moderate to difficult projects Able to delegate and prioritize tasks according to severity and importance Understand construction accounting/financials Strong organization and time management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office
