Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for conducting EHS Audits for 30 small to medium manufacturing sites and distribution centers located in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America. This position supports the Global BASF Construction Chemicals audit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your solid planning skills to define schedules/priorities for multiple assignments under limited supervision and persuade others when interacting with peers, customers, and management.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
Obtains and analyzes EHS data to assess the adequacy/effectiveness/efficiency of environmental, health and safety programs, procedures and processes.
Experience with federal, state/province and local EHS regulations.
Provides suggestions for revising audit programs and planning based upon experiences to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit.
Analyzes EHS/operational data to identify trends, root causes of EHS issues, and/or opportunities.
Responsible for ensuring the quality and completeness of self-prepared audit reports.
Participates in status meetings and closing conferences. Effectively communicates oral and written recommendations to management and present agreed-upon actions to improve EHS performance.
Provides light to moderate supervision of work performed by operations or engineering colleagues assigned to the audit team.
For assigned audit area(s): performs risk assessment by gaining an understanding of and documenting the respective EHS processes, identifying risks and controls inherent in those processes, evaluating them and identifying control deficiencies/opportunities for improvement
