Under the directionof the Senior Network Engineer, this position would be responsible fordesigning and implementing computer networks by focusing on high-level designsand planning; selecting the appropriate data communications through integratingLAN, WAN, Internet, and intranet components and configuring them to meet user'sneeds. Responsibilities include:
Implementation & Support: Performsnetwork architecture design for UTC Campus Internal Network Structures.Installs, configures, and implements new Network Router and Switch equipmentfor building renovations and new construction. Provides troubleshooting supportfor all aspects of the campus network including: Switches, Routers, DHCP, DNS,Network Access Control, Firewalls, Load Balancers and all other appropriatenetwork equipment. Provides direction and guidance for existing and emergingtechnologies along with participating in complex and mission critical technicalanalysis. Assists with WiFi network controller designs and installs.
Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and CustomerSupport: Monitors the Wired and Wireless network for anomalies and responds appropriately.Utilizes a variety of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to remedycustomer issues. Works closely with project management and technical teams tosupport successful deployment of new applications. Updates ticket trackingdatabase with pertinent information
Project Management: Works with IT ProjectManager on large implementations of applications for user community. Managessmall projects including planning, scheduling, communicating progress, andclosing a project within a functional area.
