The Office of Human Resources seeks an enterprising Talent Acquisition professional (Recruiter) to provide recruiting leadership and support and to develop the employment brand and employee value proposition strategies to meet recruiting goals. As a member of the Human Resources' Talent Acquisition team, the Recruiter will partner with internal HR teams and with external hiring managers to guide the full-cycle recruitment process – from targeting, attracting, and candidate sourcing to candidate review, interview facilitation, and candidate selection.
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter will utilize the PeopleAdmin talent management system to: track and report on candidate data, screen applicants for manager review, develop recruitment plans, job advertising, sourcing & attracting qualified candidates, diversity outreach, screening resumes, assist with the interview process, assess candidates, reference check, support campus leadership and specialty positions, and advise hiring managers on selection procedures in compliance with Federal and State laws and University policies. In addition, professional recruiting services via LinkedIn Recruiter will be leveraged to acquire identified talent.
The successful finalist will have a demonstrated history sourcing, recruiting, and identifying candidates for highly specialized and difficult-to-attract positions. In addition, a background that demonstrates the utilization of advanced skills as a talent acquisition professional with a comprehensive understanding of employment and recruiting practices and organization policies and procedures is required. A demonstrated commitment to high-touch services that ensure a positive candidate experience will be essential.
The responsibilities of this position require close collaboration and teamwork with internal and external colleagues. This position is a salaried, FLSA-exempt position and may require evening and weekend hours on occasion.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum five years of experience as a recruiter or a combination of formal recruitment and equivalent experience.
Experience in the development of talent pipelines and sourcing candidates and using recruiting metrics to drive decision. Experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies. Proficient with social media platforms.
Expert skills in interviewing to quickly and accurately assess an individual's experience, range of knowledge, skills and level of competence.
Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels (web/social/professional networks, etc.)
Has built and maintained a broad network of professional relationships.
Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, ability to proactively and effectively handle multiple tasks.
Ability to independently prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload, change in assignments and pressure of deadlines.
