Independently perform facility inspections to identify environmental problems and continuously ensure an appropriate level of appearance, cleanliness and safety in accordance with the standards of the institution and facility.
Respond to phone calls, emails and work order requests from all staff.
Create purchase orders thru EReq or on paper requisitions
Ensures that requests have the appropriate level of workflow approval prior to processing orders
Monitor COGNOS regularly for issuance of purchase orders, (po number, date created, date submitted to vendor), track all expenses, and remain aware of budget limitations/availability.
Liaison with clinical staff to identify equipment that requires repair or inspection. Troubleshoots malfunction issues for immediate resolution (i.e., replacement of parts for uroflow units, vital sign monitors, bladder scanners, etc.) in lieu of contacting outside service and preventing delays to clinical operation
Handle the delivery and removal of furniture on and off the floors
Ensure telephone requisitions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow up with Telecommunications as needed.
Utilize a variety of COGNOS queries to ascertain a spend analysis for identified projects
Keep track of costs on equipment repairs; making recommendations for replacement
Maintain Office Equipment and serve as front line support for issues with clinical workstations, printers, fax machines, copy machines, telephones, etc. and facilitate repair and/or replacement as needed.
Maintain and stock amenities for patients and/or staff such as Pantry, Staff Lounge, and Fish Tank.
Partner with Facility Operations Manager on facility redesign and construction projects, or other longer term facility-related projects.
Cross train with other Facility Assistant to provide departmental coverage as needed.
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 12 PM - 8 PM
High School Diploma/GED with 3 years prior work experience.
Demonstrated experience coordinating projects with multiple departments, facility maintenance and office services.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint (plus)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs #
