The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance, improvement of EPICS based control system; support construction, commissioning, operation of diagnostic, timing, and machine protection systems for physics facilities.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Eng, or closely related field + 3 years exp as Software Engineer or any related position in physics engineering. Must have exp in designing and implementing device drivers to interface with experimental physics and industrial control system (EPICS), using software tools Linux, driver development, programming competency in c/C++, Python; software configuration management tools including GIT, GITLab, Atlassian tools (Jira, STASH, Jenkins).
