Provide lecture and hands-on instruction in Safety. Areas of need include OSHA, NCCER, Forklift, Crane, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, AED, etc.
Essential Duties :
Provides lecture and hands-on instruction in area of expertise.
Follows published schedule of classes.
Covers all course competencies in instruction.
Develops, grades, administers and facilitates quizzes, exams, hands-on practicums or other tools used to evaluate student progress.
Maintains knowledge of, and exhibits, current methodology in area of instruction.
Manage classroom activities by enforcing standards, rules and regulations.
Recruits students and maintains active student enrollment through quality classroom instruction and student communication.
Provides feedback to the Director on course progress, suggested improvements, or problems that may impact program quality or stability.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in the technical knowledge and skills in the manufacturing and construction industries.
Current knowledge of safety practices in the manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, production, food and/or healthcare industries
Demonstrated proficiency in English and Spanish; Written and verbal skills.
High school graduate.
Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery.
Associate Degree or higher
