We currently are seeking a Director of Design Services to join the organization and lead us in our facility development.
The Director of Design Services operates as owner's representative on our exciting Women & Children expansion with users, architects, engineers, construction manager, County & Code officials, and CCHS management on scope, schedule, and budget. The successful candidate will provide leadership, project oversight and technical expertise for major new construction and renovation projects, initially, Women's & Children's building, leads design development, architect selection, construction budgeting, bidding document development and contractor selection process. This individual manages the day to day operations for Design & Construction Services including operating budget development and expense management and capital construction budget management. Together with Vice President, develops multiyear strategic facility development plans and departmental objectives. Sets priorities and project assignment for project managers and supports the growth and development of team members.
The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited School of Architecture
Licensed Architect required
Master's in Business Administration preferred
Minimum of ten years progressively responsible architectural experience
Design supervision and experience in medical facility design desirable
Business experience of managing professionals and annual budgets
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
