Under general direction of the Director of Construction and Inspection, the Assistant Director of Project Management develops and implements construction plans for the University and Medical Center campuses, in coordination with Project Managers, Inspectors, and Support Staff. The Assistant Director of Project Management monitors design and construction controls and advises Project Managers and University Consultants on all design and construction activities on the University campus and Medical Center projects. This position is responsible for the management of the Project Management unit of Design and Construction Services (D&CS). The Assistant Director of Project Management supervises and monitors workload of assigned Project Managers, Associate Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. Coordinates program and project management and execution activities with department staff, other UC Irvine departments (i.e. Capital Planning, Campus & Environmental Planning, Budget Office, etc.), user departments and local agencies.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
