Monitor, analyze, and execute day to day financial functions. Serve as fiscal delegate who maintains the financial integrity of accounts, which includes monitoring funding commitments and approving expenditures. Serve as a resource to support departmental staff regarding financial policy and procedures in Accounting Services. Serve as purchasing agent; manage and assist in the coordination of the budget construction process, and execute the year-end closing of all accounts. Coordinate training and financial assessment projects as directed by account manager and Accounting Services director. Manage all fund groups and cash and budget balances for departmental accounts. Administer Accounting Services projects as needed.
Bachelor degree in business; preferably accounting or 10 years equivalent experience in accounting.
Minimum of one to two years in professional financial experience with at least one year in higher education
Advanced Excel skills; specifically knowledge of pivot table and vlookup functions required Excellent communication skills Proven orientation toward quality service Ability to use general office equipment.
