JCREMC is seeking an entry-level fiber project coordinator to join our company. Competitive pay and benefits offered! This individual will provide outstanding service to our members/consumers by providing prompt and efficient responses to requests for service information related to our fiber network and/or electric utility.
We are looking for an individual who is willing and eager to learn about the rapidly growing field of fiber optics. Prior experience in telecommunications or electric utility field a plus, but not required – we are willing to train the right person!

Duties and Responsibilities
This person will be responsible for the following:
A. Schedules and keeps appointments for new construction, upgrading, relocating and maintaining the fiber facilities and to provide cost estimates for jobs to be completed.
B. Schedules and keeps appointments with members/consumers for relocation or removal of existing electrical facilities and to provide cost estimates for jobs to be completed.
C. Designs, stakes and inspects line extensions, subdivision layouts, service drops, relocating and maintenance jobs of new and existing fiber facilities.
D. Designs, stakes and inspects electrical primary, secondary and service installations for electrical system improvements, sectionalizing equipment and retirements of existing facilities.
E. Facilitate any pole attachment processes or requests deriving from an outside party or from our internal maintenance and upgrading of poles.
F. Inspects for tree trimming and/or removal requirements, facility damages and to identify potentially hazardous situations.
G. Utilizes drafting and data processing equipment as needed to draft fiber and electrical staking sheets, facility layouts, and to produce material sheets for construction projects.
H. Maintains, corrects and updates distribution system circuit diagram and consumer location maps as needed.
