The James Lumber Center (JLC) Patron Services Coordinator provides leadership, management, supervision and training for all front of house (FOH) event services and support staff, including but not limited to box office ticket operations using sophisticated online software with CRM capabilities, resolution of patron concerns in compliance with college policies, and cohesive coordination of FOH event services (ushers, greeters, concessions, coatroom, merchandising, and ticket sales) to provide excellent customer service.

Manage and supervise box office operations and ticket sales; including system programming of events, ticket prices and updates, staff software and service training, daily box office deposits and reconciliations, regular financial reporting, phone message event programming, ticket creation, and other related duties supervising approximately 5-8 PT, PT Flex (seasonal) and student box office staff.
Serve as ticketing software liaison and administrator with software company and college IT department staff; troubleshooting system errors and regular system upgrades, programming ticket designs and seating layouts, preparing requested ticketing and financial reports as needed and accurately reconciling ticket and concession sales, and other related duties.
Coordinate and oversee other FOH event operations, providing supervision and training of approximately 12-15 FOH PT, PT Flex (seasonal) or student staff/volunteers who provide assistance with patron seating, concession snack sales with occasional beer & wine service (must be at least 21 years of age), coatroom service, lobby meet & greet or artist merchandising, and other related activities, and providing oversight over financial reconciliations if required for these services.
Interview, recommend for hire, coordinate training and oversee work schedules for FOH PT. PT Flex (seasonal) and student staff/volunteers.
Other related duties as assigned.

Associates degree or higher.
Minimum one (1) year management experience in a performing arts high-volume box office using advanced online ticketing software such as ChoiceCRM, ProVenue, or Vendini and serving as system administrator for event setups, software upgrades and/or system installation.
Minimum one (1) year experience in front of house supervision of ushers, concession, coatroom, box office clerks and beer/wine servers (must be 21 years of age or older in order to serve alcohol.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong computer experience using a variety of software programs including MS Office.
Previous box office ticketing work experience with significant cash handling, credit card processing, online sales, staff supervision and financial reconciliation.
Excellent customer service in a supervisory role
Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in arts management
Work experience or management in box office ticketing, event/performance venue support or a related field
