Senior Electrical, Petroleum, Mechanical, Structural, Civil or Chemical Engineer to support the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) DoD and Other Customer Funded Design & Construction Branch (CFSD) and its mission.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Conduct design reviews and make recommendations as to corrective action or approval
Perform technical reviews of Request for Information (RFIs) (potential changes, differing site conditions, etc.)
Provide technical reviews of Architect-Engineer (AE) and construction submittals
Provide expert analysis and advice to Government Project Managers and stakeholders regarding AE and construction contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with DoD and industry standards, to include recommendation for approval or disapproval by the Government (e.g. designs, work plans, work classification, schedules, cost estimates, contractor's approach/methods, contractor proposals, to include effectiveness and efficiency of technical approach and analysis of proposed work/activity productivity)
Develop and present technical presentations, visual media, and/or training related to mission areas.
Apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Level/Years of Experience: at least 15 years of experience with a Master's degree required in either Electrical, Petroleum, Mechanical, Structural, Civil or Chemical Engineering. Master's degree or additional years of experience preferred. Experience should be related to performing Engineering duties associated with design and/or construction activities.
*Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required*
American Petroleum Institute (API) Certifications are highly desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable.
Security Requirement: US Citizenship and DoD government security clearance or ability to obtain NACI.
Prior DoD experience is highly desirable
