Candidate will perform daily functions to process construction and development draws to facilitate payments to construction vendors. Assist in review of capital expense invoices and community purchase orders daily to ensure proper application of Camden capitalization policy. Review and maintain fixed asset additions. Identify opportunities to enhance CIP, reposition or capitalization procedures.
Prepare general ledger entries as part of month-end financial close processes including accruals and reclassifications.
Support and ensure all items coded to capital are reviewed for capitalization per Camden s policies and Sox compliance.
Account for construction and development projects including budgets, commitments, draws and costs.
Update and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Respond to internal and external audit requests.
Support special projects as assigned.
BA Accounting or Equivalent
2 or more years of recent experience
Experience with Oracle Cloud is desired, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel & Outlook
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks or projects
Must be customer focused, with a strong emphasis on continuous customer service improvement
Must be a self-starter and highly organized
Must lead by example and be a team player with strong analytical skille and work ethic

Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing

Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
May require airline travel, out-of-town and /or overnight trips
