CBRE Design has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Electrical Engineer can be located in either New York City, Chicago, IL or Los Angeles, CA. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to work on complex electrical building systems. The Electrical Engineer will assist the engineering team supporting large commercial, public and industrial projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of a senior engineer, prepares electrical designs and perform calculations in support of large commercial and industrial projects - both renovation and new construction.
Supports the design of electrical projects and as well as the MEP/Fire Protection engineering team
Assists engineer with planning the layout of a project and integrates engineering elements.
Assists in preparation of Revit and AutoCAD drawings and construction documents.
Assists engineer with preparing operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 0 to 2 years experience required. Candidates with experience designing electrical building systems are strongly preferred.
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
