At the direction of the Director, Facilities and Operations, provide oversight for all daily activities of the Operations and Facilities Department. Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely, cost effective and safe manner. Oversee that company policies and procedures as well as Airport Rules and Regulations/Minimum Standards are adhered to. Take the lead during irregular operations in a safe and efficient manner while working towards resuming normal operations. Duties include a variety of managerial and technical tasks, including administrative duties such as technical writing, monitoring operating budgets, inventory and billing and managing performance metrics including key performance indicators, developing and implementing formal procedures, collaborating with outside agencies, facilities and services duties such as construction and project management, responding to customer concerns, emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance.
Responsible for staff development by communicating expectations, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees, when necessary. Position will require on-call rotating weekends.
Resource Management (40%)
Coordinate and communicate the prioritization of workload and resources so that company objectives are met.
Assign and adjust resources in coordination with stakeholders in support of safe and efficient operations.
Forecast daily operational abilities and limitations of all resources supporting operation, including but not limited to staff equipment, operational capacity, and infrastructure.
Enact and manage methods and processes to ensure fuel quality and to assure appropriate fuel inventory is available to meet customer demand.
Play a significant role in the development of Operations and Facilities staff to support their overall engagement, growth, and goal achievement.
Leverage contract service providers to support operational goals, maintains desired service levels, and takes actions when needed.
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing all contractors working on site.
Help to foster relationships with tenants for the purposes of creating an understanding of maintaining the overall image and brand through facility maintenance, aesthetics, operations, etc.
Respond to customer and community concerns, resolve issues in a manner consistent with company policies concerning community impact and operational efficiency.
Implement outreach goals and strategies for engaging tenants, community organizations and customers.
Monitor vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that goods and services are provided.
Advise and assist with the development of capital improvement projects by inspecting infrastructure and properties, and providing feedback to the Director, Facilities & Projects.
Business Continuity (30%)
(24/7) Assist with business continuity, operational safety, and the mitigation of risk in the event of a failure, or potential failure of core business functions.
Ensure the safe and secure operation of all runways, taxiways, roads, grounds, fuel facilities and buildings operated by DM and take timely corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure that all airfield and business functions are in compliance with FAA and NJDOT regulations.
Take the lead on spills/releases of non-hazardous/hazardous materials.
Provide a conduit that allows for the continuous communication of information to and from management team and staff.
Implement approved processes and programs to ensure that daily business continuity and obligations are met.
Enact methods and processes to ensure that appropriate fuel inventory is available and fuel quality measures are adhered to.
Business Administration (30%)
Assist in the development, implementation and communication of policies, protocols, procedures, capital investments and training to ensure that company policies align with and advance DM and airport business objectives.
Responsible for implementing all actions necessary to comply with existing environmental, safety and wildlife programs, including training, inspections, program updates, etc.
Oversee methods to maximize revenue and reduce costs.
Coordinate with other departments on project needs and provide feedback to the Director, Facilities & Operations.
Assist with the development of annual operational and facilities budgets.
Obtain and review tenant environmental and safety programs/policies.
