Position Open due to Promotion of Current Staff to Plant Superintendent!
Cooperative Energy's Electric Power Generation Plant, located in Purvis, MS, has embarked on the journey of repowering from a coal-fired plant to a natural gas combined cycle plant. We are seeking an Electric Power Operations Superintendent with strong leadership and team motivation skills to join the team on this exciting project. The foundation construction is set to begin this year with commercial operation slated to begin in 2023. A new three-pressured Nooter/ Erickson heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), complete with SCR system and CO catalyst, will be constructed with a new Siemens SGT6-9000HL combustion turbine generator with an average ambient capacity of approximately 400 MW. Steam from the HRSG will supply the existing GE steam turbine generator and is expected to produce approximately 172 MW. Total combined cycle plant net output will be approximately 550 MW at a net plant heat rate of 6,500 Btu/kWh.
