Ohio University Department of Social Work is seeking applications for Online Facilitators. Applications to this pool posting will be considered to fill part-time term, non¬benefits eligible facilitator positions as student demand dictates for summer 2020, 2020-21 Academic year, and summer 2021.
Under the guidance of a Faculty member, Facilitators will assist in grading and answering student questions. Courses are administered online through Blackboard. The amount of work and grading responsibilities vary depending on enrollment by term.
Course Facilitation: Answer course-¬related questions within 24 hours. Communicates with students using the announcement boards as needed. Moderates and participates in online class discussions (i.e. posting replies in discussion threads) on a weekly basis.
Grading: Grade and provide individual constructive feedback on all student deliverables within 72 hours after submission deadline. Consult with Lead Faculty to norm grading across sections and prevent grade inflation.
Performs other course management related duties as necessary to foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
Applications will be accepted into the pool on an ongoing basis to fill positions as need arises.
