Supervise the Director of Maintenance who is responsible for the daily operations of the Maintenance Department.
Ensure that the School’s appearance is in good condition, and that all facilities, grounds and equipment are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Play a key role in the School’s implementation of the COVID-19 guidelines established by the State of New Jersey, the CDC and other governing entities.
Supervise, and participate in, the daily activities of the Security staff.
Develop, implement and evaluate security procedures and maintain Emergency Procedures Manual.
Ensure that all security technology is in working order and deployed efficiently.
Develop and conduct regular security training sessions with administrators, faculty and staff.
Interface with outside security consultant and local law enforcement to ensure that safety and security procedures are consistent with best practices.
Ensure that school operations comply with policies specified by OSHA
Serve as school’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Coordinator.
Monitor the safe use, storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
Administer logs, records, notices and documentation related to all OSHA, IPM, certificates of insurance, inspection certificates, competitive bidding, etc.
Attend various training programs to stay current with the latest statutory requirements.
Act as the primary liaison with outside transportation companies.
Oversee student busing arrangements, including scheduling, route planning and resolving day-to-day issues.
Facilitate transportation reimbursements to parents from local school districts.
College or trade school degree or equivalent experience.
At least five of experience involving facility maintenance and supervisory responsibilities.
Expertise in, and an aptitude for, administration, management, construction, mechanical equipment, landscaping, computer usage, purchasing, supervision, and utility planning.
Experience in schools a major plus.
