Spur Design has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in our Phoenix office. The successful candidate will possess 5+ years Project Management / Architectural experience in the A/E/C industry. We are seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented individual with a solid background in organizing and putting together complete sets of construction documents and coordinating with engineering and other consultants, clients, contractors, and project teams. Our future team member must be highly motivated, efficient, creative, organized, articulate, personable, and able to help manage a variety of projects. They will easily collaborate with other designers and consultants, monitor the work effort and fees, and maintain overall quality control of the product and provided service.
Working in collaboration with the Director of Operations and Project Manager Lead, the PM will help support the management of multiple projects from inception through completion and are primarily responsible for managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery meets that expectation Responsible for ensuring the project team knows and understands the project vision and extent of the scope of work Obtain necessary client approvals Obtain necessary client provided drawings Coordinate with other Spur Design Project Managers to ensure that office wide resources are organized
Daily responsibilities include but not limited to:
Create and manage budget and schedules Coordinate with Architectural Lead’s design staffing needs Facilitate the documentation of meetings and work sessions Maintain team morale Assist with document / drawing production as needed Actively manage project communications, documentation, and project administrative tasks
Project tracking responsibilities include but not limited to:
Project schedules and milestones, both critical and internal utilizing Microsoft Teams Project budget, team hours, expenses, and invoices Facilitate follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices as necessary Identify potential exposure to risks and propose mitigation methods Assist project team with the creation and assembly of presentations as needed Provide oversight and assistance in managing a project BIM execution plan Establish and maintain Project Newforma files and consultant access Proactively manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope through Microsoft Teams Reviews internal and external work-in-progress as well as deliverables Coordinate all aspects of final deliverables to client, whether digital or hard copy Act as primary contact to consultants at an administrative level and coordinate exchanges related to assigned project deliverables and scheduling
Licensed Architect with professional degree 5-8 years professional experience in A/E/C firm with management responsibilities Proficiency in Revit and the ability to use or learn industry standard management software including Microsoft Excel, Project, Newforma, and others Ability to successfully complete Quality Assurance / Quality Control process with minimal supervision Extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards Understanding of structural, MEP and other design related disciplines Experience in federal (VA and/or FAA), commercial, and healthcare Strong communication skills, both written & verbal Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and collaborate with other team members Able to meet challenging deadlines while producing a quality product Self-motivated and able to problem-solve independently Accountable and results-oriented

Paid Holidays including: New Year’s Day, Spur Design Inception Day (observed the Friday before Memorial Day), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Day and the four weekdays between Christmas and New Year’s Day
Short-term Disability (STD) and Long-term Disability (LTD) are provided at no charge and include compensation of up to 60% of annual base salary
Life insurance in the amount of up to $100,000 or 2x annual base salary (whichever is less) is provided at no charge
Health Insurance and retirement benefits are included in the Total Annual Compensation and are the choice of each individual employee
Dental and Vision Insurance.
Retirement benefits include matching 401k contributions of 1-for-1 matching up to 3% and 1-for-2 matching up to 5%, with a maximum match of 4% for a 5% employee contribution. This plan is a “safe harbor” eligible plan and, subsequently, no vesting period is required past initial eligibility requirements.
