JOB SUMMARY: Our Adoptions Case Manager Supervisor plays a tremendous role in overseeing Adoptions Case Managers that help children achieve permanency in a forever home through their continued efforts within the Adoption’s Unit. Moving a case along from Dependency to Adoptions, their focus is to maintain quality communication with our pre-adoptive and prospective adoptive parents, and recruit families which helps to alleviate the consumer’s concerns when dealing with an often lengthy and frustrating system. Additionally, our Adoptions Case Manager Supervisor ensures that Adoptions Case Managers make appropriate, necessary, and accurate referrals for services that are provided timely to achieve the highest level of care for our children, as well as move towards finalization of the adoption in as timely a manner as possible.

FUNCTION: Ensures continuity of care while facilitating and expediting Adoption permanency for children through a Case management model that develops, expands, accesses and links resources in the community that meet the needs of children and their pre-adoptive families.
Serves as the Adoptions Case Management Unit Supervisor providing Case management oversight, team supervision and guidance.
Oversees and tracks critical data elements involved with management reports via the FSFN database.
Oversees and performs all Adoptions Recruitment involved tasks and responsibilities.
Performs ongoing analyses of contractual performance indicators to ensure unit compliance.
Completes case file audits to ensure appropriate and timely referrals to community service providers in accordance with established case plans.
Oversees provision of Adoption services, including planning, linking, facilitating match and disclosure staffing’s, monitoring, and advocacy, to assigned children within assigned case of the unit.
Monitors and manages all unit reports and outcomes, including monthly visitation, judicial progress, finalizations and case status, among others.
Participates in staff development programs and opportunities.
Participates actively in team meetings, client care and utilization reviews, staff meetings, Adoption Transfer Staffing’s, Permanency Staffing, AARC Reviews, PRIDE Meetings, and all other professional forums that promote safety, well-being and expeditious finalizations, as appropriate for children served.
Provides administrative and management duties related to supervision of staff, including interviewing and selection, training and orientation, supervision, performance management and development and scheduling.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships required for proper functioning within the role of Adoptions Case Manager Supervisor, including:
Relationships as a member of the interdisciplinary team within the unit, particularly around backing up other team members as appropriate and expected;
Relationships with supervisory staff, emphasizing proper response to and use of supervision and appropriate reliance on supervisory staff to guide their activities during unusual circumstances;
Relationships with community resource providers, particularly emphasizing facilitation of the referral process and providing continuity of care;
Relationships with children and their Caregivers, pre-adoptive/adoptive families including awareness of and attention to developmental issues related to interpersonal functioning within the family environment.

TO APPLY VISIT:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related degree with at least 3 years’ experience in directly working with children and families in the child welfare system of Case, with one year of experience providing supervision to direct service workers or related field preferred. Possess current Child Welfare Certification through the Florida Certification Board.
Preferred: Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or Human services/social services related degree with at least 3 years’ experience working Adoptions cases in the child welfare system of Case.
