Teach a 3-credit section for the 14-week Spring Semester 2021, as contracted by Degree and Credit Programs (DCP) in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS), for the Construction Management major. The class is offered in a blended format (online + classroom).
Until Covid restrictions are lifted, classroom sections can be taught virtually, via Zoom. The course is already fully developed. Future semesters are possible depending on performance.
Course Description Functions of building mechanical systems and their integration with other building components. Residential/commercial HVAC systems, alternative energy sources, energy efficiency, structural implications of mechanical systems, indoor air quality, environmental strategies. Case studies are employed.
Required - Master’s degree in a field closely related to the course of instruction. - Five or more years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design, facility management, mechanical standard enforcement, or related fields. - Experience training and/or teaching
Preferred - Ten or more years of professional experience in engineering design, facility management, mechanical standard enforcement, or related fields. - Teaching experience in higher education. - Experience designing courses or training materials.
Desired - Ph.D. or terminal degree in a field closely related to the course(s) of instruction or in adult higher education. - Teaching experience includes online courses.
