The Associate Director assists the Assistant Vice President of Student Financial Services in administering a comprehensive financial aid program at the Henniker campus and any off site locations/campuses which supports the recruitment and retention efforts of the College and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and school policies and procedures, specific to Financial Assistance.
• Manages financial aid operations; overseeing verifications, return to title IV procedures, disbursements, originations and other financial aid tasks; • Adheres to all compliance requirements, including meeting deadlines and complying with federal regulations; • Performs federal and institutional needs analysis; awarding federal Title IV funds and institutional aid to eligible students; • Performs high quality customer service to all constituents (students, parents, staff, etc.); • Constructs and analyzes reports extracting data from Banner using Argos reporting tool and other systems; • Completes required reports such as the FISAP and IPEDS; • Assists the AVP with training and management of the financial aid team; • Reviews and recommends policies and procedures to increase efficiency and ensure compliance.
• 3-5 years experience in financial aid administration • 3-5 years of supervisory experience • Experience using Banner, Argos or similar software • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficient with Title IV and state financial aid regulations • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment • Bachelor’s degree required
