The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine offers three dynamic MBA programs - plus PhD, specialty masters and undergraduate business degrees - that prepare business leaders for our digitally driven world. The Full-Time MBA Program is a two-year program beginning every fall and it takes place over 21 months. Our Full-Time MBA degree is STEM-designated, dedicated to deepening student's knowledge and leadership of management science and quantitative methods. The Admissions Coordinator is an integral member of the team charged with recruitment, admission, yield management and program services for the Full-Time (FTMBA) program. Under supervision of the Director of Recruitment and Admissions for the Full-Time MBA Program, and general supervision of other department staff, the Admissions Coordinator has specific responsibility for the FTMBA recruitment cycle (~500 applications and 50 new MBA students per year). The Coordinator works directly with all prospective students throughout the recruitment and admissions process. Responsibilities include coordination of recruitment and admissions events and activities, interacting with prospective students and applicants, managing application files and admissions process. The Coordinator is also responsible for general administrative office support and management, including staffing the front desk and answering main FTMBA office phone and email inbox. Position requires interpretation and implementation of University and Department admissions policies.
Bachelor's degree or comparable education/work experience.
Ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively and to promote teamwork, diversity, and inclusiveness within The Paul Merage School of Business and on campus.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, staff and outside contacts.
Skill in managing time and setting priorities in an environment of frequent interruptions and distractions.
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skill in accurately working with highly sensitive information and data.
Ability to work as a team player, providing constructive contributions, information and back up to enable effective and efficient delivery of service.
Superior ability to work on a variety of projects under minimal supervision and deliver consistent results in a timely manner.
Ability to use initiative and discretion in dealing with students and prospective students.
Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports, factual memos and correspondence.
Ability to make independent decisions and take appropriate action. Strong working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.
Familiarity and ease with utilizing a variety of web applications.
Knowledge of University Policies and Procedures, UCI academic and student support services, Academic Senate Rules and Regulations, Family Rights Privacy Act.
Knowledge of Merage School policies and MBA program requirements.
Special Conditions Required:
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evenings and weekends as required.
