Ridgeway Country Club is looking for a motivated student that plans to pursue a career in the golf course maintenance industry to work during the 2021 season.  This internship is open to any level of experience.  The chosen individual will work side by side with the superintendent and assistant superintendents to gain the experience needed to maintain a high-end private country club golf course.

Daily tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Course setup
• Operation of all golf course equipment
• Sprayer/Spreader calibration and use
• Chemical and Fertilizer application
• Mowing techniques
• Water management and irrigation repair
• Crew management
• Equipment maintenance and reel setup

Ridgeway Country Club is a private member-owned country club located in Collierville, TN.  Ridgeway CC was founded in Memphis, TN in 1861.  The club has moved several times through the years before settling in the current location.  Construction of the current golf course began in 1971 by architects Ed Seay and Ellis Maples.  The golf course sits on 226 acres of tree lined property with a 16-acre lake as focal point.  The putting surfaces are Champion ultra-dwarf bermudagrass along with Meyer Zosia fairways and bermudagrass tees and rough.

• Housing, daily lunch, golf privileges and uniforms will be provided. Pay will be $14 hourly wage plus overtime
• Applicant must be enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor degree program in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management or other related field
• Multiple 3/6 month internships available
