Russell County Construction Crew Foreman Job Posting 01/06/2021 – 01/15/2021
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING
Purpose of Position: Responsible for assuring the crew members have access to and use all safety equipment. Procure work orders and direct the crew on job location and materials needed for the job. Direct the crew in the installation and maintenance of 3 phase and single phase breakers. Maintain proper paperwork including work orders, service orders, material sheets, etc. Required to be familiar with the service area or have the ability to learn within a short period of time. Oversee the crew in the installation of primary underground and secondary services. Direct and assist in the installation of meters, line regulators, oil circuit reclosers and other equipment. Inspect lines for any hazardous conditions perceived to be harmful and/or dangerous and corrects the issue or follows up with District Manager. Coordinate member communication for permission to cross property for construction or maintenance. Supervise the crew in digging holes and framing/setting poles and anchors as required. Will be required to be in on-call rotation. Assist in the restoration of services during outages. Communicate with other departments such as Staking Engineers, Right of Way, Dispatch, Service Center as well as developers, members and other utilities. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent and must have completed SKRECC’s Apprenticeship Program (or equivalent) and have at least 7-8 years of experience in the construction/maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines. Must have CDL license, CPR/First Aid training, Hot Line Experience and Pole Top Rescue training. Must live within 30 minutes of the Russell County Office utilizing Google ™ maps to determine the commute time.
