The Manager, Business Development for Glass Solutions will be responsible for growing the ASSA ABLOY Glass Solutions business, and achieving sales and profitability targets throughout the Northeast United States. The Regional Business Development Manager’s job includes working with the Door Security Solutions sales teams to drive sales to glass door temperers, fabricators and glaziers.
Work closely with the local Door Security Sales teams to identify and actively call on Glass Solutions’ channel partners; including glass temperers, glazing contractors, fabricators, architects, and wholesalers in order to increase sales.
Meet and exceed Glass Solutions sales objectives within a defined region.
Work with Door Security Solutions field sales offices to track and negotiate new construction projects.
Provide necessary training and education to our sales teams and channel partners.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
Collaborate with the local DSS sales teams to implement demand generation activities with end users, architects, and channel partners.
Travel as required to meet goals. Must be able to easily travel to key markets in assigned geographies. Minimum 50% travel.
Track and report the development and execution of Glass Solutions sales activities.
Collaborate with local DSS sales agencies to manage channel conflict.
Attend industry trade shows as required. Collaborate with Marketing & Communications teams to ensure that the product category is properly represented.
Perform all other duties as directed by management.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, as well as develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Excellent project management and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and a professional presentation demeanor are highly desired.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and influence at all levels of an organization
Able to work collaboratively across functional groups and produce multiple points of view and data into a streamlined action plan
Proficiency Microsoft "Office Suite" software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills and follow up habits.
Ability to meet multiple project deadlines and exercise effective time management.
Ability to travel as required for the role.
