Job Description Summary:
CBRE shall be providing its client with Power and Cooling equipment purchasing and supply chain management support. The primary categories of mechanical and electrical equipment included are back-up power generators, generator enclosures, electrical switchgear, transformers, bus duct and mechanical cooling equipment.
Role can be performed remotely during COVID, but ultimately at the following locations may be favored by client: Sunnyvale, CA, Dallas, Houston, Charlotte, New York City, Northern Virginia, Atlanta, GA.
Candidates with prior knowledge of this type of equipment would be helpful to support day-to-day operations, large and complex project deployments, and will work across numerous customer teams.
The Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist will also provide the following Services:
Support the evaluation against current global and regional supply agreements
Support analysis of supplier lead times against project planner and escalate issues
Create complete procurement planner for RFx effort
Support Commodity Managers on requirements for localized RFx, confirm RFx supplier bid list or sole source (agreed at Global / Regional level)
Review RFx documentation / Issue RFx documents to bidder, Issue bidder(s) queries to DCS Team
Support Commodity Managers with final pricing updates and agreement
Create draft Award Recommendation Letter (ARL) or Single Source Justification (SSJ)
Conduct reviews of bills of material (BOM)
Support analysis of data and capture metrics including single source, sole source, lead time, dual source
Support Commodity manager with cost analysis including the creating liability curves (S-Curve)
Clear to Build
Conduct calls with vendor and work with them to review readiness for upcoming production
Monitor manufacturing cycle time
Project PO Req Drafting, Routing and Execution (non-NPI):
Draft Project PO request form
Review PO request form with supplier
Set up folder and save all relevant files
Seek budget allocation from PCG
Send executed PO to Supplier / Send redacted executed PO to General Contractor
Project Team and Supplier Delivery Coordination:
Maintain communication of project required-on-jobsite dates with supplier
Support analysis of supplier lead times against project planner and escalate issues, where necessary
Create dashboard reporting on delivery progress and commitments
Expediting/Managing Order To Delivery (OTD) commits:
Review and monitor revisions to OTD commits
Establish if expediting / delaying of OTD commits is required
Identify a contingency plan and resolution procedure
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or some related technical field, from four-year College and/or University or have 5 year of commercial MEP equipment purchasing experience. Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training. Minimum five years experience in procurement of real estate or facility management services and supplies.
Must have prior work experience with purchasing, sourcing, or purchasing of commercial mechanical and electrical equipment used in large construction projects.
Working Knowledge of Purchasing statistics: Work Load in/out, Individual Buyer Stat, PPV, and MRP Stats, and Contract Log.
Supply Management Certifications are preferred, but not required.
Accomplishments in handling diverse and complex sourcing transactions, negotiations, and contractual responsibility.
Must have strong technical skills and comfort using the following:
Power user of Google Applications; including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, GMail, and Hangouts (Google video conferencing)
Dashboard creation using Tableau or similar applications.
Comfort with frequent video conferencing
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.
