T.Y. Lin International is looking for a Chief Construction Inspector for Construction Inspection of Highway/Structural projects.  This position will report to the Resident Engineer (RE) and will require a minimum of at least 12+ years of bridge/highway/structures construction experience. The candidate will be responsible for day to day inspection activities in the project site. The Chief Construction Inspector will ensure that all work on the site is performed in compliance to the contract documents, all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Observe and document nonconformance situations and change management events. Participate in the determination of appropriate resolution for each situation and event. The position will require overseeing and managing of other inspectors.

• Inspects daily construction activity.
• Completes daily inspection reports in the applicable format.
• Assists with creating meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
• Assure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments.
• Assists with creating draft Contract Change Orders.
• Performs oversight of materials testing.
• Knowledge of CTDOT material methods.
• Assures general compliance with CTDOT and other agency standards and specifications.
• Assists with resident engineering duties.
• Assists with office engineering duties.
• Communicates with residents and business owners.
• Assures compliance with CTDOL and Federal Regulations on utilization.
• Other duties as needed.
