Assistant reports directly to the Superintendent to assist in daily maintenance duties which include but are not limited to the following:  Operation maintenance/troubleshooting of Rainbird Cirrus irrigation system, application of fertilizers and chemicals, disease and pest diagnosis, equipment maintenance/calibration, construction projects, management of water delivery system, park maintenance.

-Assist in supervision and delegation of tasks in superintendent's absence.

-Inspects the golf course/parks for dangerous or hazardous conditions and upon discovery, takes immediate action to eliminate the hazardous or dangerous condition and reports any irregularities to the Golf Course and Parks Superintendent immediately.

-Inspects golf course for any irrigation leaks, breaks, or stuck valves; and takes action to fix the problem.

-Operates mowers, equipment, and vehicles

-Inspects mowers and equipment for proper operation and reports any irregularities to the Superintendent.

-Directs and trains staff in the safe efficient operation of mowers and equipment.

-Performs basic daily maintenance on equipment.

-Assures fuel supply is adequate and is secured at all times.

-Performs landscaping tasks.

-And other related duties as required.
