This position would independently manage multiple commodity areas (Construction/Facilities/Furnishings/Furniture/Maintenance or â IT/Scientific/Library/Books & Media/Food Service/Office Equipment & Supplies) and will be responsible for the execution of the following work-streams: supplier performance, determination of customer needs, cost analysis, high-value strategic sourcing activities. The successful candidate for this position will have the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (partially remote and in-office). Periodic campus/system office visits will be required. This position is one of two Category Manager positions; please only apply to one to prevent overlap.
Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills required Strong negotiation and purchasing skills required Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required Demonstrated effective communication skills: both verbal and written form Ability to work in a team environment Experience working with ERP and eProcurement systems is preferred
