RESPONSIBILITIES
CBRE is looking for a CoPQ Analyst to work closely with our client in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is to be based in Mountain View, CA.
The CoPQ Analyst is responsible for tracking and managing our client's many construction projects using dashboards and other metrics / KPI tracking tools. The CoPQ Analyst will work with internal and external Data Center teams to drive CoPQ initiatives and reporting. This is program level initiative, not an individual project level. Therefore, knowledge and use of typical program level metrics or KPIs will be helpful. This role will work closely with a team of cross-functional stakeholders across the organization and other relevant stakeholders to develop, optimize and oversee our quality data systems.
The CoPQ Analyst will work independently with minimal guidance and proactively use available resources to meet deadlines and complete tasks. On a day to day basis, the individual will compile program needs, manipulate and analyze data, track trends, look for improvements, and deliver visual representations to optimize program needs and results
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and collaborate with various teams within client's internal teams, including the following teams:
- Data Center Design & Construction Project Management
- DC Quality (DCQ)
- Program Controls Group (PCG)
- Data Center Advance Technology Innovation (ATI)
- Data Center Operations (DCOps)
- Data Center Services (DCS) and other cross functional teams as necessary.
With the above organizations, perform the following quality programs services:
- Provide Data Analyst/Project management support to the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) program
- Support the CoPQ team by working on metric updates and data reports for New and Retrofit Projects and Operations potential CoPQ framework updates
- Lead CoPQ data quality verification working with project teams, PCG and operations
- Work with site teams to evaluate and report instances of CoPQ and ensure proper categorization of each cost impact to CoPQ parameters
- Update and maintain CoPQ dashboard(s) for active projects
- Support potential CoPQ framework updates
- Support CoPQ data quality verification working with project teams
- Manage escalation of CoPQ instances and ensure they are effectively captured in Closed-Loop Learning program (CLL) and Process Excellence (PEX) program
- Support integration of lessons learned and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that target reducing CoPQ into a central repository
- Provide documentation to support business requirement documents (BRD), owner's program requirements (OPR), process mapping
Coordinate with CoPQ team to report escalation of CoPQ instances and ensure they are effectively captured in Closed-Loop Learning program (CLL) and Process Excellence (PEX) program
Support integration of lessons learned and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that target reducing CoPQ into a central repository
Preparation and delivery of regular reports to client's Design & Construction Quality organizations as needed (monthly, quarterly, & yearly)
Participate and sometimes facilitate meetings to drive CoPQ initiatives across the client's design and construction organizations.
Utilizing CoPQ methods as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from top tier school in computer science, math, engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, database architecture, and SQL, SAS and/or SPSS including 2-3 years technical experience in software development, machine learning or statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization related work.
Preferred Requirements:
- Working knowledge of "Cost of Poor Quality" theory in practice.
- Data Analyst/project management t experience supporting client's internal "Cost of Poor Quality" initiatives in either construction, design or even manufacturing!
- Knowledge and experience supporting company-wide Quality initiatives for manufacturing, construction or technology / hardware assembly.
- Support COPQ team to engage in process improvement initiatives that focus on removal of unnecessary costs of goods & services; i.e. -- unnecessary costs associated with materials, assembly/construction, labor, handling, and shipping
Minimum Qualifications (MQs)
- BA/BS degree in Business Process Management, Operations, Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Industrial/ Process Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Four years work experience.
- Familiarity with commercial building design & construction industry practices.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization with experience leading cross-functional process improvements
- Tenacious problem solver with effective verbal/written communication and facilitation skills.
