Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience and 5-7 years of full-time verifiable work experience in construction, construction management, or facilities management.  The successful candidate must have strong organizational and project management skills.  This employee will be a regular driver as defined in the UAH Vehicle Safety Management Program, which includes, but is not limited to, possessing a valid driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable MVR in the judgement of the University’s insurance company. The Project Manager must be proficient in AutoCad computer software and in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat and must have the ability to read and understand specifications, blueprints, and drawings relating to all types of construction and equipment.  The candidate must be able to negotiate and influence others and to create and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally and must have the ability to control, supervise, and monitor the performance of contracts and contracted engineers and architects.  The ability to prioritize, plan and organize own workload to meet conflicting demands, budgets, and deadlines is required.  Previous experience in a university setting is desired.  The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $70,000 with an excellent benefits package (https://www.uah.edu/hr/benefits).  Qualified applicants should apply on-line for Construction Project Manager II at https://careers.uah.edu/cw/en-us/job/493832/construction-project-manager-ii
