Director of Facility Operations & Maintenance

An ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and leadership skills as well as possess knowledge of the principals and practices of mechanical/electrical engineering, and a general knowledge of supporting engineering disciplines as they apply to the design, construction, and maintenance of facilities belonging to hospitals and healthcare. The candidate should have a general knowledge of The Joint Commission, DNV ,NFPA, CMS and other code requirements for healthcare facilities. The candidate should have the ability to manage department workflow, operating budgets, capital budgets, contracts, and continual improvement initiatives. He/she will be responsible for analyzing existing work practices to improve effectiveness and to assure compliance with guidelines and federal and state regulations. The candidate must also have the ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations (often emergent) and making decisions; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with maintenance staff, professional and technical construction personnel, and Augusta “clients”; and the ability to express oneself clearly and concisely in oral and written form and to follow oral and written instructions.
