Sheet Metal Shop Supervisor Position Summary: - Fabrication of sheet metal products such as coping, flashing, counter flashing, metal wall panels, gutters, collector heads, downspouts, fascia, trim, soffit
- Track production and scheduling
- Partner to ensure high quality standards are met on all projects
- Promote Curtis-McKinley’s Safety Program and use safe work practices
- Learn and understand Curtis-McKinley Roofing’s core values of safety, quality and productivity
- Coach and assist team members on/with the proper application of products
- Supervises the fabrication of components such as, roof flashings, and specialized equipment used in industrial and commercial applications.
- Manage all aspects of manufacturing and warehouse operations, including order flow, scheduling, inventory, shipping & receiving, safety, QC, and employee performance
- Lead a team of personnel in manufacturing, packaging and shipping/receiving
- Work efficiently in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment
- Foster a culture where employees take pride in their work
- Coordinate schedules for processing, production and shipping
- Create, maintain and enforce a safety protocol program
- Communicate effectively with sales dept to manage ongoing requests and requirements
- Create and promote continuous process improvements to ensure ongoing production efficiency
- Facilitate and oversee operations to minimize scrap loss and improve on time performance
- Build and participate in a positive, cohesive team environment
- Maintain accurate production, shipping and quality control records
- Develop strong working knowledge of our manufacturing equipment to help in troubleshooting and future training
- Backup and assist in all production activities including equipment operations and maintenance as required
