What you’ll be doing...
You’ll partner with the Quality Assurance Team to confirm deliverables and convey installation report card metrics to vendors. You’ll also take part in ODN Network architecture installation used in FTTx deployment, and serve as a daily interface with various vendors, and cross-functional work groups like Planning, Field Engineering, Network Planning, Project Management, Construction, and Operations to ensure timely job completion.
Designing and installing OLT to ONT circuit provisioning.
Testing and turn up of FTTx installations, especially GPONs.
Analyzing the CCR (Capacity Creation Request) for the installation, rearrangement, or retirement of transport, switch, and data, along with associated service, especially OLT and FDP installations.
Preparing the RFQ (Request for Quote) to the vendor/manufacturer.
Ensuring timely assignment of a PO (Purchase Order).
Partnering with SAP (Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing) for timely delivery of materials.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Associate’s degree ortwo or more years of work experience
Three or more years or relevant work experience
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
Experience engineering or installing/provisioning fiber optic OLTs (Calix) and transport multiplexer products and other industry equipment manufacturers.
Knowledge with OSP and ISP network elements.
Experience with GIS and equipment inventory systems.
Experience with Microsoft Access.
Experience with nSAP.
CAD system experience.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Project Management Skills.
Strong knowledge of accounting rules and budget, both capital and expense.
